Funds

HIANZ has an established number of Funds for Education and Travel. Some of the funding for these came from the previous Health Records Officers Association which became part of HIANZ when it was formed. We believe in encouraging the further educational development of Members and are delighted with the success of past recipients.

Applications are invited for the Funds on this page. All applicants must be a current member of HIANZ. If successful, they must be prepared to write an article for the HIANZ Highlights newsletter on the Conference (if the Travel Fund) or some aspect of interest (Education Fund).

The Education Fund enables a HIANZ Member to undertake papers in relevant health-related courses, either in New Zealand or overseas.

The Fund is valued at $1,000 per year and will be advertised in the HIANZ newsletter each year (July issue).

A subcommittee of the HIANZ executive (President and two other members) will be appointed to administer the Fund and make recommendations to the Executive.

The Travel Fund enables a HIANZ member to attend an international conference relevant to Health information.

The Fund is valued at $1,000 per year and will be advertised in the HIANZ newsletter each year (July issue).
